Motivated Mothers of Jordan Downs: Planning Session |

On June 23, 2010 twenty-eight mothers and grandmothers of Jordan Downs gathered together at the Strive Community Center in Los Angeles, to create a foundation for the Motivated Mothers of Jordan Downs. The new Motivated Mothers of Jordan Downs created a vision for themselves as a group and tangible goals for their future. As the mothers were busy planning, the children were able to venture around the Strive campus, seeing birds, turtles and even snakes. Older youth were allowed to use Strive laptops and experience the wonderful services the center has to offer. This planning session not only set the tone for the Motivated Mother of Jordan Downs, but empowered and united mothers to work towards one goal: raising strong families. |
