Battle of the DJ's: A Redevelopment Event for Youth

The Youth Action Squad held their first event: Battle of the DJ’s Thursday December, 16th. It was attended by over 100 residents and community members. Teens and children came to hear about the latest on the Redevelopment. Teens performed raps and poems based on the New Jordan Downs and the DJ’s had a battle on the turn tables showing their talent.

Instead of fighting or violence,
Let’s become one.
Let’s become a community,
And get it done.
The Redevelopment is a new opportunity,
A chance to have fun.
Let’s work as a group,
At the pace of the sun.
