Resume Writing Tips
Your resume is vital to your career and requires careful planning. Set aside at least 2-3 hours to write your resume. Do not rush and make sure you proofread your resume before sending it out to potential employers. It is a self-promotional document that should grab the attention of the employer to invite you to the job interview. Don’t hesitate to ask for help/advice from a friend, family member or counselor.
5 Tips for Writing Resumes
1. Your resume is about your future; not your past.
2. Stick to what's relevant and marketable.
3. Don't write a list of job descriptions. Write achievements!
4. Promote only skills you enjoy using. Never write about things you don't want to repeat.
5. Be honest. You can be creative, but don't lie.
