· The Maxine Waters Employment Preparation Center
ü To help residents prepare resumes, conduct job searches, practice interviews, learn job skills, and master vocations in new technologies SHIELDS for Families, Inc. offer weekly on-site courses in:
· job readiness
· computers
· vocational training
ü SHIELDS for Families, Inc. currently offer an on-site high school equivalency course. Accredited by Century High School in Santa Monica, CA, the high school equivalency course allows residents of Watts to obtain a high school diploma and in turn gain access to better job opportunities and/or a postsecondary education.
